Korohiwa land development

We are developing 3,147 square metres of general residential land at Korohiwa for sale in five lots. The land will be put up for sale after we have completed remediation work on the site in early 2010. Our investigations on the site showed levels of contamination present. We are currently having this contamination removed and the site retested before selling it. The site is mostly flat lying with a steep, rocky hillside to the rear and a pedestrian walkway entrance to a scenic reserve to the north. Directly opposite the land is the beach. The Eastbourne Bus Garage which lies north of this site is currently being upgraded and refurbished. The site is approximately two kilometres away from the Eastbourne village, which contains general amenities for residents and is a fifteen minute drive to central Lower Hutt. In recognition of the historical interest in this site and special characteristics of Eastbourne we have developed a design package to give potential buyers an idea of what type of residential development would work well and be sympathetic to the surrounding environment. Any money made from the sale of the land will then be put back into the social housing in Lower Hutt owned by Urbanplus.
